Asthma is a serious lung disease effecting over 20 million people in the US alone. An asthma attack is caused by what we call “triggers”, or elements in our environment that lead to an attack – some examples include dust, pollen, animal hair, cold air, pollution and food, among many others. Considering these triggers, it is assumed by many that preventing asthma attacks is as easy as knowing the triggers and avoiding them accordingly.
