How can you identify if your dog might potentially have diabetes? In the wide majority of cases, it is not very common for younger dogs to acquire diabetes, but if your pet is older than 4 years old and is exhibiting other symptoms, then the possibility for diabetes could be a real one. Diabetes in dogs is much more common in females. Many of a dog’s symptoms are much like those of diabetes in humans.

After getting a new dog, most people spend hours with it playing, allowing the puppy to bite their fingers and thinking it is so cute. The puppy is actually trying to show you that he is in charge. Canines learn to comply with their owner’s commands through a reward system. While they instinctively want to please their owners, they are driven to do so by the chance they might receive a reward for their compliance. Canines go through changes as they age in the same way people do. Their heart and kidneys become taxed and less capable of enduring extreme physical exertion.
